Homemade Gravy Mix

First off, yes, I know you can all tell that this is not actually my picture. I was in a hurry and tried to get a background from Canva. And it just looked so comical to me that I had to keep it. I'm sure that I could have made it look better and this is absolutely NO FAULT of Canva. I'm just, you know, still learning. Obviously.

However, you're not here for a story about my tech limitations. Although you may want to return for those because dang, they have caused some troubles over the years.

Anyway.

Gravy Mix! You can use this for many different flavors of gravy! And it's sooooo cheap to make!

Ingredients:

5 c. flour

2 c. powdered milk

1/4 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/2 c. corn starch

Whisk all ingredients together in a large bowl. Store in an airtight container.

To make the gravy:

Shake up your gravy mix in the container. Make sure it's well mixed.

In a saucepan, place 2 tbsp. of leftover drippings or butter (if you don't have drippings)

Whisk in 4 Tbsp. of the gravy mix.

Slowly mix in 1 1/2 c. milk. Whisk over medium heat until it comes to a boil.

Then, reduce the heat and stir for a couple more minutes, until thickened. Add small amounts of mix or milk to thicken or thin, as desired.
