Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, room temp
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
  • 3/4 c. spiced rum (I used Captain Morgan)
  • 2 c. boiling water

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the brown sugar, butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves until well blended.
  2. Slowly whisk in the rum and boiling water.
  3. Stir until the mixture is smooth and all the butter is dissolved.
  4. Ladle into mugs.

This makes about four servings. To be cute, throw in a cinnamon stick for garnish (I forgot).
