Ingredients
- 15 oz can pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
- 10 oz can evaporated milk
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 box of yellow cake mix
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. Heath baking bits
- 1 c. melted butter (2 sticks)
- vanilla ice cream, optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a 9x13" pan with parchment paper (or grease the pan - I actually prefer both).
- In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin, milk, sugar, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix well and pour into pan.
- Sprinkle the cake mix on top. Use the entire box and DO NOT STIR.
- Sprinkle pecans and Heath bits on top.
- Pour melted butter evenly all over the cake.
- Bake for 45 minutes to an hour - mine took awhile to set. Watch your edges. If your edges are browning, it's done.
- Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream.
